May's Tidings

Greetings Brethren & Ladies of Palmer!

Spring is in the air! We are getting set for our “Rose Celebration” which is resurrecting our Ladies Table lodge in honor of the Palmer ladies and Widows who have helped make this lodge what it is. The Rose Celebration will be on Friday the 16^th so mark your calendars. If anyone needs a ride please contact myself or our JW Art Karos or our SW Rodney Van Tassel. We have had a lot of degree work lately with 5 possible petitions still to be read! Again many thanks to the brethren that helped out with our degrees it is great when brothers can work together in a harmonious manner. It is always wonderful to have visitors from other lodges present and assist in the degree work; again many humble thanks to Frank Mayer for all the work he has done with our lodge.

At press time we still have our Spaghetti Dinner to take place but I am sure things went well. More will be discussed in our next Templegram. But speaking of next: keep in mind brothers that our stated meeting for May remains on the 23^rd yes I am well aware that it conflicts with the Memorial Day weekend however our month of May is quite busy.

With that the earth has demonstrated the miracle of rebirth once again flowers are blooming the sky is filled with the sounds of birds and forest animals, we can see the visible signs everywhere of renewal. These visual reminders of the miracle of life are reminders to each one of us to live our lives as a visual reminder of what Freemasonry is. We are the embodiment of the spiritual lodge, a visual tool for all to see and measure, to circumscribe and navigate by. We are the living compass and square, those useful and visible tools by which we communicate our friendship, morality and brotherly love.
